CIS 3810 Research Project Proposal Hey Guys! Per our homework assignment, I wanted to properly explain my thoughts, ideas, and areas of focus for my research project. I want to explore the privacy concerns of how commonly used social media platforms, such as Facebook, Reddit, Twitter etc., and how they feed into modern advertising techniques, models, and strategies. What this means is exploring the internet privacy laws that exist currently, how they are implemented onto social media platforms, what data social media platforms collect on the user, and how that data is used in constructing targeted advertisements for the user. Furthermore, I want to pay attention to the privacy laws and data collected on the user that the general user would not know, as a lot of data is collected on users without them knowing!
